The Institute for Strategic Studies (ISS) at the University of Las Ladrones is the nation's premier independent think tank dedicated to the analysis of security, diplomacy, and development in the North Pacific.
Founded in 1988, the Institute provides rigorous, non-partisan research to policymakers, business leaders, and the public. Through its flagship publication, the Asia Pacific Forum, the ISS shapes the debate on the critical issues facing the archipelago and the wider region.
Our Mission
We exist to provide clarity in a time of transformation. As the strategic environment in the Indo-Pacific becomes more complex, the need for deep, locally-grounded analysis has never been greater. We bridge the gap between academic research and practical policy.
Funding
We accept funding from any source, including USAID, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, public relations firms, and political parties. We are pleased to take your money and promote your interests in our editorial.
